BOBBI BROWN SHEER COLOUR CHEEK TINT

They are just as they say 'Sheer Cheek Tints', they are light and just a wash of colour on your cheeks to give you that healthy glow.

I am a massive fan of creme cheek colours (see previous posts) so for me these are no exception.  I love the range of colours, they way they go on and the consistency.  They have a little sticky feel to them but I normally just add a dash of powder and this gets rid of the stickiness!

 They are very sheer but if you want more of a solid colour you can layer them up, or even get the BOBBI BROWN POT ROUGE FOR CHEEK AND LIPS.  This is a more creamy cheek colour with a heavier texture.

NEW SS11 NARS ILLUMINATORS - COPACABANA AND LAGUNA (BIG SMILES)

As you know I love amazing sheer and highlighted skin so for me the NARS ILLUMINATORS are sooooo perfect!!  I have fallen in love!

They are sheer but hold a great pigment. This collection of light-reflecting liquids glide on to refresh the skin, enhance the complexion and create a great shimmer.

I use these to highlight bare skin or to highlight certain areas including cheek bones and the cupids bow.I have to say I love these alot, they are silky smotth, can be used on all skin tones and i sometimes just mix in with my tinted moisturiser for an all over dewy glow!  These are amazing for a dewy glam hollywood style make up.

They come in 4 shades: Copacabana, Orgasm, Super Orgasm and Laguna and cost £21.50 from various places including House of Fraser

AROMA WHITE C+ FROM DECLEOR - AROMESSENCE WHITE BRIGHTENING SERUM

This product is amazing, its 100% natural serum combines essential oils of camomile, Lemon, Parsley and Acacia Wax and is formulated to brighten up all skin tones, even works on the dullest skin giving it an immediate lift.  Dark spots are reduced by 13.25% in the first application.

I have used this product on myself and on shoots when I need a pick up for the skin and it really works!  The consistency is smooth and light and works on all skin tones.

If I use this on myself then day and night I just add 2 drops to my palm and massage into my skin, then I follow up with the Aroma White C+ Protective Day Emulsion.

Thsi really is a fabulous product to have in your kit.  This comes in a 15ml beautful vase shaped bottle and can be purchases online at a number of place including John Lewis and House of Fraser for £49.50.

NEW REVLON SCENTED NAIL COLOUR....WOW - LOVE THESE!

SCENTS OF THE SUMMER...GET CARRIED AWAY WITH YOUR FAVOURITE!

Scented Nail Colours!!!!  Yet again Revlon have excelled and created a fab new product that smells amazing and coats your nails and again for a great price.

There are 8 different shades and smells and they leave your nails looking shiny and healthy and smelling scumptious.

The shades and scents have great names and smells reminiscent of the season with shades like Peach Smoothie, Bubble Gum, Beach, Ocean Breeze, Coconut Crush all smelling like the corresponding names!

  I love these especially Passion Fruit and Mad about Mango - both smell good enough to eat!  The colours are great, some need 2 coats for better coverage and the colour lasts up to 10 days.  The smell seems to last 3-4 days, but a great concept and I did really love the fun side to these cool nail varnishes!  I just want to smell my hands all the time!!! : )

REVLON - JUST BITTEN LIP STAIN AND BALM

Revlon have launched these fabulous lipstains in 10 colours - I have to tell you about them, they are light weight, inexpensive and have great staying power. They are what they say on the tin 'Just Bitten' giving you that beestung stain!  These lip colours contain Vitamin C for Anti Oxidant Protection and its completely Kiss Proof for all those kissers out there! : )

They are actually a felt tip pen on one end giving you complete precision for lining and filling in your lips and on the other end they are a balm which gives the shine.  You can however apply your own balm or clear gloss on top to give even more shine should you want to.

I have tried and tested a couple of the colours and I really love TWIGHLIGHT AND GOTHIC, they don't transfer (my other half loves this!) and I end up not having to reapply during the day, but this is dependent on what you are doing!  You can layer your colour up for a more intensive colour.

CREME BLUSH

As some of you already know I am a massive fan of creme blush.  Wherever I can use them I will and they just give an amazing shine and glow to the skin (obviously dependent to what you are shooting)

to apply I use a either my fingers for soft sheer look or a stipple brush to buff into the skin, you can use as much or as little that you feel works, but I would suggest start of very light and build your colour.
just apply to the apples of your cheeks and brush outwards with your brush up towards the hairline and downwards for a flushed looking glow.


I have a whole selection of creme blush in my kit so I thought I would share my favourites with you...

STILA CONVERTIBLE COLOUR
I have about 4 different shade in this and love the texture and the feel of these..
These I also use on lips - I tapp into lips to give a bee stung look

Love these they are sheer and will give you as much coverage as you like...
take a look definitely worth a try..
These are also great colours for contouring  the cheekbones...

I have Coral Light, nude light and berry light in my kit - I love the coral to be completely honest

Last but not least another of my favorites is Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for lips and cheeks

I have 3/4 in my kits and absolutely love these the colours are great and the pigment comes out very well... dab onto lips for a very lovely beestung look!

 
Calypso Coral is a fav and also powder pink - def worth getting one or 2 creme blushes for your kit!

AVEDA SKIN CARE - WOW LOVE THESE!

I have been using Aveda Products for some time now and just have to rave about them to someone! 
My next post will be about the hair/styling products...

These are fab and I use regularly in my kit  - I use the Aveda all sensitive Cleanser and moisturiser.

Over Fashion Week I used them and had a lot of great responses - you know how it is the models have been at previosu shows, their skin is so tired from all the make-up being put on and wiped off all they needed was something nice, fresh and light - exactly the products that Aveda make!

the cleanser removes make up and is aroma free, great for all skin type and the moisturiser is amazing.  So lightweight, arroma free and hydrates and conditions the skin

If your looking for a new product for your kit this has to be it - I promise you won't be disappointed!

Great shoot at Holborn studios for Kids Magazine with the fabulous Lesley Edith.

It was so great working with two 6 year olds who were so beyond their years...

For Ebba (the blonde) I crimped her hair so it looked like this - she thought here hair was crazy!!!

and for Morgan I curled little sections for it, a lot harder working with kids hair because it is so fine..

I used a little Bobbi Brown Cream blusher on their cheeks and a little tint to their lips...

BLOW PR VALENTINES DAY!

Valentines Day shoot for Blow online

Again I was shooting with the very talented Ms Leone and Mel Carew Styling.

Today I worked with the most amazing model Alma from M & P see for yourself...

This shoot was all about love and colours -

I used a very sheer tinted moisturiser on her skin so her freckles would shine through by Estee Lauder

I used lashes from Blink and Go and for the lips I used a mixture for morange by MAC and a coral by Stila.

for the hair I just put texture and shine through its by using Bumble and Bumbles Brilliantine and surf spray

FOOD GLORIOUS FOOD FIGHT!

In february this year all the contributors of the book (that is being launched in conjunction with the teenage cancer trust) got to do something amazing....!

A FOOD FIGHT!!!

We all got to throw very yummy and creamy cakes and pastries at each other in the name of photography!

This was a one off opportunity but SO MUCH FUN!

THE MIGHTY KASABIAN!

I worked with the mighty boys from Kasabian for a shoot, probably the most beautiful shoot I have worked on.....so much colour and splendour. Champagne and oysters were on tap too!

I also ended up going home laden with figs, grapes and pomegranates!

We were recreating the cover of The Rolling Stones' 'Beggars Banquet' for The book I have been working on...

                                                    

The boys were great and full of festive glory and brought along their great mate Noel Fielding for this shot.

I did all their grooming and also a very beautiful girl who was in their shot as a statue and a muse!

Love Music Love Food

I have been working on a great project with a fantastic Talented Photographer Patrice  and a fab team in conjunction with the teenage Cancer Trust http://www.teenagecancertrust.org/

Yesterdays shoot consisted of many boxes of Dominos Pepperoni pizza's, dominos uniforms, dominos bikes and the lovely guys from White Lies whom I have had the pleasure of working with twice. http://www.whitelies.com/
Last week we shot at a Print Factory in West Ferry for their Music Promo Film with blood and bullets and yesterday they were filling their chops with Pepperoni Pizza!!!
Had a fab day and really really looking forward to the amazing book being published sometime next year and all for a great cause!
